It gets the job done, and for a good price. It makes playing much more comfortable. It clips easily onto my violin and mostly stays in place, but sometimes it can slip off (hence the 4 stars). Otherwise great product, I've been using it for weeks now and haven't has any major issues.

The description is misleading about the material. And one end is not straight, cannot adjust.

Maybe I put too much pressure on the shoulder rest (trying to adjust the two clips). But, one clip pulls out where it is threaded into theshoulder rest. It pulls out every time that I try to attach the rest to my violin. I will try a rest from a different brand.

It was easy to adjust, slides on easy, definitely serves its purpose for a beginner.I doubt anyone near a professional would use it.Great value!
