Do what they meant to do I actually made a large shelf fairly wide and handles it without any problem. Have got a Music midi keyboard on it and works very well.

It works great, easy to install and not coming out.

Feels sturdy and easy to assemble, particularly as it clamps onto the desk rather than having to fix it underneath. It looks good too.

I needed a custom sized tray to make space for both a mouse, full keyboard, and little temporary space to jot notes, place smartphone, or any other temporary items that I need to take care of. Since I already had a stand-up keyboard stand made of solid wood that I wanted to re-use the top, I decided to purchase just the rails and get rid of the stand legs. This set of rails is smooth and sturdy, clicks when both pushed fully in and fully out. Since these are just rails, you can place them anywhere in almost any distance apart to fit custom sized trays. I put my 3/4" thick solid wood top that I re-purposed from the stand (it's slightly under 3 ft wide and 9" deep) and the rail can slide it without wobbling or shaking. The metal the rails and clamps are made of are solid and sturdy. The screws fit well and hold well. There are 3 holes and 3 screws for each rail but you only need 2 (choose the two that balance out the tray so it doesn't put too much pressure), I only used 2 wood screws per rail since my wood tray was only 9" deep and was placed slightly outward, and that still held well. Overall the assembly was easy, you just need a drill and a screwdriver for well-finished install.Perfect for custom sized keyboard trays.

This was perfect for making a custom keyboard tray to fit my small ikea Fjallbo desk. All ready made keyboard trays were still too bad with clamp, so I ordered these clamps and my own book shelf board and asked the guy at home depot to cut it to the size I needed (18.5'') and it was a perfect fit. My neck and shoulders are very happy!

Very easy to install, all necessary screws are provided. Sturdy, but would not mind even sturdier. Little tight if your desktop is thick. Would be nice to have more clearance or adjustable spacing.

Not enough space between desk and tray. Be prepared to add some pieces of wood.

I wasn't expecting much but was delightfully surprised. It does the job, holds a drawer under a desk. And it is VERY heavy duty. Rock solid.

My desk only has a 24" space so regular keyboard trays don't fit. Was able to use these and a laminated board cut to fit. Works like a charm. Rails are very solid and glide easily with no noise.

Because of my tiny desk I have, that is only 23.3 inches wide. I could not find a keyboard tray that was small enough to fit desk. Smallest I could find was 20 inches not including the clamps width, as my desk table top is also to thin to screw in another type. Then I came across this item selling just the clamps and rails. It was perfect, I was able to customize my tray at 17 1/2 inches; sits perfect under my desk. The tray is easy and smooth to pull it out or push back in, and its very sturdy.

A good option if you don't want to drill any holes and need a smaller/bigger platform for the keyboard if you have a smaller/bigger desk. I used some cardboard as the platform. It is still a little bit vertically long (about 12cm) if you have a low desk or big legs, and the knobs for tightening the clamps are slightly too big, meaning you need to leave about 2mm from the side of the desk (i.e. your drawers) to tighten them. Other than that, note that because they are clamps and not screws, there are two metal parts on the top of your desk which you may or may not mind.
