2. Turn the back, and the position corresponding to the two holes is below the knob.

3. Check the direction of the knob "D-shaft"

  • 1. You bought the wrong type of knob.

    2. The direction of "D-shaft" of the knob is inconsistent with your stove.

    3. The model of the knob you may need is W10594481.

  • It can be installed, but after installation, the indicating direction is reversed from the direction of closing your stove. The knob model you need may be W10594481.

  • 1. When the indicating direction on the front of the knob is upward, turn it over until the two holes on the back are below.

    2. The "D-shaft" direction of the W10698166 knob is to the left, and the W10594481 knob direction is to the right.

  • You need to check the direction of the "D-shaft" of the stove installation shaft, and then select the knob whose "D-shaft" direction is consistent with the direction of the stove.

  • 1. The direction indicated by the installation axis of your stove is related to the direction of the knob "D-shaft".

Soo disappointed looks exactly like mine and its for whirlpool. Did not fit .. the top is mine i bought new ones cause they were old and broken

I was so excited when I opened the package. I looked at knobs carefully and they are amazing.Solid all metal polished to perfection and excellent workmanship. nice and heavy feeling in hand.But it will not fit my GE Stove.My stove is a 5 burner. Engine of that stove from clicker to burners to valves are probably bosh and replicated in the US and installed in millions of stoves from Kitchenaid Frigidaire Whirlpool GE and pretty much all stoves that look similar on top. I assumed that the valve shaft would be standard and it would fit mine too.However this is meant to be an upgrade for 4 burner ones that are models before mine.For sake of comparison in quality I pictured both my plastic originals beside these new shiny beauties.In one pic you can see how it would look if I could put on the valve shaft.In the picture you will see the Model Number of my stove that these knobs will NOT fit.If it will fit your stove , it will look amazing and it is a really nice upgrade from plastic factory knobs that peel off when washed in hot water.
