Makes tankless hot water heaters easy to install and maintain. Tried to find a cheaper method, quickly discovered that this valve set is worth the cost.

Definitely worth the money. I would not install a tankless water heater without this kit. Excellent quality and $80 cheaper than at the plumbing supply

Used these to install a Rinnai tankless gas water heater. They work perfectly and give nice access ports to clean the system when needed. They also make shutting water off to the unit a breeze which helps a lot during installation, etc.I was piecing together different shut off valves, t's, etc, to make something similar from scratch and wouldn't have saved much money while sinking much more time into it. I'm glad I ultimately went with these. Worth every penny for the saved time.Just be prepared to use a decent amount of tape/putty. I had to remove, add more, and reinstall to get rid of a small leak. Not a big issue, just took more than expected, so be aware when installing initially.

Tough to get sealed to the hot water on demand unit with out the use of Teflon tape, or pipe dope. Looking forward to the ease of use to do the annual maintenance of a vinegar wash at the end of our seasonal use of the on demand unit.Fittings seem to be built well.

We had to change the standard settings to 140 degrees standard was 122. Changing the setting was easy with the directions. The four inch exhaust was a bit of a bother. Since hot water tanks and furnaces only require 2 inch exhaust. So I used reducers to get to the 2 inch and use the same exhaust holes that were use for the hot water tank. I bought a 1/4 of a sheet of plywood at local lumber supply and screwed to the wall right under where the exhaust goes outside the wall. So exhaust travels about 2 1/2 feet to the outside.

It is reasonable priced. You get the similiar item 80% more expensive in the local store. Looks solid and has a high quality.

I purchased these valves to descale my Bosch Aquastar 2400e. Worked perfectly! Excellent quality! The install instructions are clear and if you have plumbing experience you could install them yourself. Very pleased with this purchase.

These are very nicely made pieces of plumbing equipment. They have a couple features(that I'm not sure are unique to this set) that at first seam mundane then prove very useful. First, is how they attach to the unit. It's a union fitting where you first attach an adapter to the inlet/outlet of the heater, then when you've got the rest of your plumbing lined up, you join the union fitting at the top of the valves to the tank. If this feature did not exist, you'd have to spend another $20 on unions to plumb it correctly. Second, is the fact that the service side of the valves are separately gated. On some cheaper models, turning the service handles(the yellow ones) would close the inlet/outlet and open the service ports. Well, that works well enough, but what if I want to fill a bucket with hot water right from the heater, or connect a hose to the cold water inlet? With these valves it's easy. When the valves are in their normal "on" position, you can simply use them like a hot/cold water hose bib. Quality wise they seem great. Though a bit pricey at $75, you get what you pay for and I'm really happy I didn't cheap out and plumb my new heater without them.***My Rating Definitions***5 Stars: Works exactly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product AND it is a good value4 Stars: Works exactly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product, might have a minor flaw3 Stars: Generally works but I'd change a few things2 Stars: Barely works but can be made useful if you try1 Star: Useless, does not perform it's intended function whatsoever and is generally a waste of money

We've had our tankless hot water heater for 4 years and after poor performance we found out we had not descaled it, ever. When it was installed the plumber failed to mention how to maintain it and did not leave a single instruction booklet behind. We contacted the manufacturer and they sent us instructions for descaling. We became confused when we could not seem to find the clean out valves. Turns out none were ever installed. We had to dismantle all the plumbing to the unit. It was a nightmare but we did not have the valves to put in at that time. As soon as I could I ordered these. The valves arrived packaged neatly. There were clear instructions on the installation and we actually did it ourselves with little plumbing experience. The valves work perfectly. I am so happy that I can clean out the heater with just a twist of knobs. Everyone who has a tankless heater needs these.
