The threaded end-cap on back of live center won't tighten up. It comes loose and dust could get in shortening the life of the bearing. I would have sent back but missed the cut-off to return...

This live center is a good value. It works very well and runs smoothly. The only problem so far is that the threaded collet/cover that encloses the bearings tends to come loose when working, requiring me to stop and fix it. This could allow dust in and reduce the life of the bearings. I see others have mentioned this issue in their reviews, and as some suggested I will just put some Locktite on it. For under $20, I'm totally fine with it.
