It adjusts for distance from the picture plus the angle of the light so it can be adjusted to reduce glare. Very nice.

I actually purchased this light to use with our new nativity set that we got this year. I opted to mount it on a piece of wood placed beneath the set, rather than on the wall above it, and we’re quite pleased with the results. The light output is perfect for our application, and being an LED, there is no heat generated from it. The cord is more than long enough, and the adjustment available on the arm gives plenty of options for fine tuning the placement. In addition, the finish very attractive - not at all cheap looking. This light is a fantastic value and I very highly recommend it.

These lights are exactly what we had been looking for for our bookcases. We are very happy with our purchase. They are smart looking and seem to be good quality. They extend enough to clear the crown moulding on our bookcases and rotate stiffly so they stay where we aim them. They shine the perfect amount of light for us to see our books, not dim and not obnoxiously bright. I get nauseous under fluorescent light so I was concerned I wouldn't like the color they emit but it is perfectly in the medium range. They are plug in lights which is what we wanted. There is no overhead light in the room so we plugged them into the socket behind the bookcases that is controlled by the wall switch so we could turn them on when we walk in the room. They are extremely easy to install. We just screwed the bracket to the center of the back of the crown moulding.
