I have a 1997 Camplite 2218 pop-up camper that had the power converter short out and start on fire. I ordered the WFCO WF-8725-P an hour after the OEM shorted out and it arrived a couple days later. The swap was very easy. I marked all the wires and swapped the new converter in about an hour start to finish. All circuits, refrigerator and furnace work great! The only thing is I ordered a brown one (since that's what I had) and received a black one. It looks fine and I wasn't sending it back because of that. I'm very happy with the unit and really like the trouble lights on the DC circuits that let's you know which fuse is blown! I pulled one fuse out in one of the pics. A little red LED lights up next to the faulty circuit. Nice feature!

Installed in the "living quarters" of a horse trailer. Added two SquareD breakers, a "coach battery", two 110V outlets and a 12V switch panel powering some lights and USB chargers. Works fine, runs a small A/C, fridge and any other AC items we need, no issues with heating which was my only concern since there's no fan.

It was a perfect fit and was easy to work with. After upgrading to this (which was the least expensive vs the camping component websites) all of my electrical is working properly and better then before. The 3 stage charging system made short work of the deep cell battery that was completely drained out. I know i will be ordering another one in the future when i get my next camper that i will be completely overhaul (a 1997 with a lot of water damage). Good quality product.

Great item and an exact replacement for my RV. But boy could the RV manufacturer make it any harder to replace this converter. Wire length was at bare minimum, I had to take photos of the removal in order to reinstall the replacement. After 4-5 hours on my knees I managed to get the inverter swapped out. This inverter worked perfect upon application of AC power and I'm so pleased all the pain of install was worth it.

I put this converter in today. I began around 9 a.m and finished at 5:30 p.m. I'm quite adept with tools and repairs and construction, but electricity and wiring have always been my weakness. Here is some advice.Take photos of the Circuit Breaker wiring in your old device. Take many and from all angles. Label each black wire as you undo it. ALl of the whites go to the neutral bar and the grounds go to the ground. The red, green, blue, brown, yellow, and grey wires matched the 12 volt wires perfectly ( I didn't use the green or the grey at all, but I taped off their ends with electrical tape). My mistake was that I missed labeling the main power wire which was in terrible shape and resembled a ground wire. That alone caused me to throw the breakers in the house several times. Then, I didn't label the kitchen wire because it was buried, and that took me a while to figure out as well. I had to go to the store twice. Once for wire nuts and electrical tape, and then for a new breaker. My errors destroyed a 15/20 breaker connected to the box and that took me a while to figure out. The store didn't have a perfect replacement so I went with a 20/20 breaker. That worked after I blew four 15 amp fuses and finally used a 30.IN the end, my new WFCO is working perfectly. It has to be quality equipment or I would have destroyed it three times over.Again, before you undo the old box, be precise with your records.

The converter went in no problem just had to make the insert an inch or so bigger with a saw.The wiring was easy as the Elixir 30 I was replacing I just did it wire by wire and it was straight forward. As others have said the instructions in the manual and the cover of the converter are pretty useless. If you look at the wires and take your time you will understand it better. The one flaw I see if it’s plastic.I like electrical to be invaded in metal but for this application I guess it’s ok.I havnt gone anywhere with it yet so time will see.Fingers crossed this unit lasts a long long time.

I have just installed this unit to replace a damaged unit in our camping trailer. It was a process of marking all wires as I removed them from the old unit and reinstalling them into a new unit.It was installed without a single problem and seems to be working properly. The true test will be out in the field in July when we go camping this summer. Will let you know how it performs.

I needed a replacement for my Centurion CS-1200 power converter in my 2000 Rockwood pop-up camper. I looked at several competitive manufacturers but settled on WFCO because it was the only one I found with the cUL electrical safety approval. It was only slightly taller than the CS-1200, but I was able to quickly adjust the opening in my camper with a rasp. The "instruction manual" was more of a specification sheet. No real insight as to how to connect the unit is provided. However installation was pretty straight forward. On the back page of the brochure in small print at the bottom is says "DC Circuits: 4 (3 Branch and 1 Battery)". The outputs on the actual unit are labelled "F1-F4". You'll want to trace the wires carefully to make sure you connect the battery to the correct output - which by the way is F4, and corresponds with the red wire. The enclosure is all plastic, I would have preferred a metal one, but it passed the cUL approval so I'm not concerned. I only used the open circuit breaker slot, and I found the existing filler plate for the second slot interfered with the installed breaker, but again not a big concern. So far I'm very happy with this unit. It does not come with the circuit breaker, or fuses for the F1-F4 circuits, nor does it come with strain reliefs for the 120V cables entering the unit.

Installed easily. Had to cut a bit bigger hole to fit (previous was an Elixir ELX30).fuses and breakers were easily transferred and wiring was a breeze.Took about 2.5 hours to take out the old one, and install the new one.Just make sure to label the wires before you disconnect them. Also, disconnect all power sources before working on electrical.

I replaced my Elixir-30 that had failed and could have started a fire with the WFCO 35. Comes with very few installation instructions but it wasn't hard to figure out how to connect it with some common sense. Casing is plastic unlike the Elixir. The metal box suffocated the flash fire that melted the wires and blackened the insides when the breaker didn't trip as it should have. With the plastic box of this item I fear if the same thing were to happen, the fire would have spread resulting in the loss of my trailer. That aside, it seems to function well keeping my battery nicely charged. So far, I'm pleased with the unit.I hesitated between a black and brown case wanting to match what I had before. I opted for the black which, in my opinion, is a very dark brown, which is what I was looking for.

Nice replacement for an ELX-25, fits in the same place, althought slightly higher. The reverse battery protection fuse is a nice addition.Ordered the black 35A but got the brown 40A instead. Note that compared to the ELX-25, it does require 2 more 120V breakers according to the manual, the first is a 30A for the shore power (main breaker) and the second is a 15A for the DC converter itself (you can shut down the converter and keep the 120V running). It also means that even with dual breakers, a maximum of 4 120V circuits can be serviced (the manual hints that a 5th circuit could be powered from the converter wire, but it doesn't look like a good idea).A few other points: it hums slightly when operating, but not to the point of being annoying. Actually, it is, most of the time, less noisy than the ELX-25, as the fan doesn't run all the time when charging. Also, the manual doesn't say the 12V negative should be connected to the shore ground, which is a mustaccording to most electrical codes, as I understand it.
