Does adhere properly or securely. It will not even adhere securely to itself.

I used this to line the inside of metal bicycling fenders to absorb the impact of road debris and prevent the fenders from ringing. Mission accomplished. The adhesive could be a little better, but so far, it shows no signs of falling off after 10+ rides.

I ordered the WochiTV Adhesive Solid Rubber Strips, 4" Wide x 1/16" Thick x 60" Long Self Stick Black Neoprene Rubber Rolls Perfect for DIY Insulation Cushion Gasket, Sealing, Liner, Weather Striping. The solid Rubber strips have the nice smell that you get when you walk into the display area of your local tire center: Rubber. The rubber strip roll is covered on one side by red plastic, which is easily removable (see my photos). The stickiness of the adhesive side is moderate but I would expect that to increase if warmed up or if you apply pressure.Test. I lightly set my thumb on the short side of the 2"x4" rubber strip in my photos and lifted the rubber strip off of the table with my thumb. The rubber strip very slowly started to come unattached to my thumb with just the weight of the cantilevered strip. Next, without unattaching my thumb from the rubber strip (to not mess up the adhesive) , I pressed my thumb moderately hard into the adhesive of the rubber strip while it lay on the table. When I lifted the rubber strip up this time, it did not pull away from my thumb at all. I suspect that pressing really hard and/or for a longer period of time would create an even greater adhesive strength.I'm going to do more tests with some small pieces before I put it to use so that I understand it's capabilities and if there are any shortfalls (I don’t want to waste it in wrong application). I will try pieces on a couple of different materials, a couple of temperatures including my currently cold garage, and maybe some other tests.I cut the 2" off my 4" wide roll using some basic house scissors. Easy peasy.Overall, 5 stars from me for now. Ad of now, I see no shortcomings.
