We got these for our 3yo for Christmas and they are a hit. The wood pieces are sturdy and easy to put together. It does shed some wood dust or something the first few times you break up the pieces but it seems fine after a few uses. They are the perfect size to be a bit of a challenge for my new 3 year old but not so much that she can’t figure them out on her own.

I gave these puzzles to my granddaughter for Christmas and when we opened the packaging we noticed mildew on the wood on the back of the puzzles. They were dry and packing appeared undamaged. The wood is not treated so not sure when it was exposed to moisture causing the mildew. My granddaughter love these puzzles so I am returning them and asking for a replacement. If this happens again I will find another product from a different manufacturer.

The pictures are cute, but these puzzles are small and the trays and pieces are poor quality. The trays feel rather flimsy, as if they could snap in half easily. The pieces come out of the tray all stuck together and upon gently separating them, many of the pieces had slivers of wood that could easily hurt a little ones fingers. Spend a little more and get the better quality (and larger!) Melissa & Doug puzzles.
