There are better soroban than this one, for the same price. I wouldn't buy it again if I could. Cheap plastic and not well made.

Wanna learn Soroban? This cute little guy here is perfect for beginners and (like me you use 2 because I have to...) Is a sweet addition to any collection or just a new way of doing things. It's fun to learn what has been around for Centuries!

I was undecided between a neutral colored vs variety colored soroban. Because of the price, I got one of each so that I could introduce place values by naming colors but then switch to the neutral colored soroban. The potential down fall is my son becoming dependent on the colors but this doesn't seem to be the case. I would repurchase.
