wires got melted and exposed live wire, using regular 110V NEMA plug on the second use. Not recommended for above 6 AMP on 15 AMP circuits

Item as described. Audible click when activated which I like. The footswitch comes with open end cable and no connector, as described. Nice weight to it - case is made of metal - does not slide when used.

What I like most about these is the lower profile. Other pedals I’ve used had a large range of motion before engaging the switch. While these could be adjusted with a screw, the side of the pedal still made the foot rest at a higher angle.

I purchased this pedal to use with a small water pump for a camp kitchen sink. An issue I noticed right away is that sometimes power was applied when I just picked up or moved the pedal. I took it apart which requires you to remove a C-clip. Keep pressure on the pedal so you dont lose the spring that’s under pressure.I noticed the wires have way too much insulation removed and when I moved the pedal, 2 of them would short together which applied power without pressing on the pedal. Furthermore, the wires did not go through the holes in each terminal meaning they could come lose if the cable was pulled on hard enough. The strain relief (plastic pieces securing the cable in the housing) did not keep the cable from moving back and forth in th housing. Here’s what I did to fix it:- I desoldered the wires- Tied a knot in the cable to keep it from being pulled out of the housing by accident- Cut the wires shorter since the bare wire was way too long, threaded the wire through the holes in the terminals, and resoldered them.- Re-assembled the housing. The pedal works fine now. I only used the red and white wire, not the black wire. If I had to do it again, I would pay a little more for something better.
