They make it seem like you could control temperature but you cant. As soon as you put heat on, no matter if you put it at minimum or maximum, itll be the same. I needed 60° celcius but theres no way to have it. Its just extremely hot. Stars rating dropped from 5 stars to 4. 4 stars on amazon means the product is bad. I feel robbed.

I purchased this product a while back. I only used it for about 5 or 6 times and it stopped working. Off course I’m past the warranty now. Don’t buy this product.

Works well enough for what I need. Took 45 minutes to bring 800mL of tap water to a rolling boil in a 1000mL Erlenmeyer flask running full out. Not bad considering the price of a lab grade hotplate.

It's a good product the only problem is that it is very slow to heat up. I could not get a 500 mL sample of water to reach boiling point no matter how long I left it on. If you don't require it to reach temperatures. High then it is very good

works very well so far. I wish rated temp. accuracy was a little tighter. (+/¬) 34 degrees c. Update..Just distilled 500ml of 70% ethanol and it took about 2 hours. It is a nice little hot plate but it just doesnt have the balls to do anything agressive....like boil water!

Works fantastically. Lots of power that keeps the magnetic stirrer going even as the liquid thickens. Adjustable speed and heat gives good control over evaporation process. Nice deal for the money
