Too expensive for a small piece of cloth but best clarinet swab I’ve ever used. Passes through instrument without getting caught on keys.🔐

This Microfiber cloth feels and absorbs like silk. The string is long enough to fit through the entire clarinet, and the lightweight cloth glides through effortlessly. The surface area is large, and the stitching is excellent. I am very happy with this purchase .

I needed a new clarinet swab after a few years. This one works well and was a decent price. The weight at the end of the string is heavy enough and doesn’t get stuck in the instrument. The swab is absorbent and not so large that it gets stuck. I would buy it again in the future.

I'm new to this, but it seems like it works great, and so far doesn't get stuck when used correctly and every time. Something I had to learn though: the register (thumb) key has a tunnel drilled in a few millimeters, so any swab can get stuck here. If you hold the instrument horizontally with the thumb key facing up, the swab will slide along the opposite side.I also can't speak to whether the stitching holds up long-term yet, it's only been a few weeks.

This swab is designed with the thoughtfulness and manufactured with the quality for which Japan, generally, and Yamaha, specifically, are known. When first handling the swab I had doubts about the absorbency of the fabric, for the fabric is silky—for all I know it may be made of silk. It is highly absorbent.Unlike most swabs that are thick and must be pulled through a clarinet with some force, this one slides through with ease. It is sensual to use, and the ease with which it is pulled through, even past the tubes that protrude into the core of my clarinet, means I have less reluctance to go through the chore of wiping out my instrument after practice. The cord used to pull the swab through the clarinet is stitched to the fabric corner to corner, unlike most swabs that are stitched at most half way along. And the color, a pleasing shade of green, enhances the appearance—a small point but again one that speaks of quality of design.I recommend this swab highly even though it's on the pricy side.

It works great as a cleaning cloth, it cleans well and is nice and compact. But you should hand wash.
