Bought this to house a pitcher plant and a bat flower, a tough challenge in my very low humidity area. It goes very well with my decor (which includes lots of gothic/Victorian black details) and takes up very little space. I drilled drainage holes in the bottom (quick and easy task) and filled it with pebbles topped with moss, looks good and gives the plants a decent enclosure. I should have had a humidifier ready to go, and the bat flower didn't survive until one arrived, but the nepenthe seems to be recovering. All-in-all, a great little product for a mini garden or moss garden or just as an enclosure for something you want to highlight.

Bought as a gift and they loved it! Seemed well built and was just what they were looking for. I personally thought it was kinda pricey for it's size (it's not very big) but it seems all glass terrariums and pretty expensive (so maybe in the plant world that's a fair price I don't know). Came well packaged and was easy to set up.

I have had this terrarium for a year now, and I still love it. Although the liner is plastic, it is never visible after I plant my garden, and it helps protect the terrarium base from potential leaks. Fortunately, it doesn’t leak, my plants are thriving, and I water them about once a month using ice cubes. The cost is much lower than that of competitors, which is why I originally chose it.Another advantage is that my cat enjoys looking at the terrarium and pawing at it, but he leaves it alone. He tends to push everything else off surfaces, but either because of the terrarium’s size or its weight, he doesn’t attempt to move it.It's made of glass metal and has a plastic lining the top opens with the option to leave it open or closed. I only open it to add the ice cubes. Beautiful conversational piece and hobby.

This is a very classy looking terrarium! For it being listed as large, I was surprised at how small it was. Love that the top glass section comes out of the tray so you can easily plant it. It also has a plastic tray inside the main tray to keep it water tight. The top glass portion has a latch that will allow you to open one side of the roof to allow airflow as needed. Happy with purchase!

Very happy with this affordable terrarium. It is attractively designed and constructed more than well enough, if handled and used properly.I originally bought a H Potter equivalent, but returned it, as I felt the overall quality did not justify the price. This was my next choice and it has worked out well. It will eventually be given as a gift, once the plants are established. The metal base of this unit is nicely painted and does not appear to have any voids that could lead to leaking. It also comes with two separate plastic liners, for the substrate. For extra precaution, I ran a bead of brown silicone along the inside joints of the base - just in case. The metal-frame & glass top has minor voids at some of the joints, where not welded. This was easily remedied, by applying brown silicone sealant to the inside of the gaps. Gaps on two of the three contact surfaces for the hinged lid were filled, using adhesive black felt strips that I cut to length and width, to fit. Now it is about 90% air tight, with the lid closed.I recommend this to others looking for a good-quality terrarium.
