Does not fit in the hole. Old ones are 1 inch. Those are more like 1 1/16 to 1 1/8

One of the knobs on our vent hood, above our stove, wore out over time and the inner plastic crumbled. Ordered these and they fit as I had hoped for- perfectly snug. The downside is that the inner stem, that fits over the metal button of the appliance, has less plastic reinforcement so longevity is very questionable. For now, it does the job.

We moved into a new house and the range hood was missing the fan knob so I decided to replace both knobs with these and I like them better than the original. The color is a nice silver and they arrived very quickly. They also seem to fit better than the originals and don't come off so easily.
