The projector would NOT accept this aftermarket bulb. Tried numerous times to install it, re-install it, and finally gave up. Returned and will have to use a factory bulb to get the projector to work.

The device is an accurate replacement device, easy to install and works normally. Obviously, the old bulb has been used for a while, because the picture after replacement has been greatly improved.

I waited over 300hrs to write this review because I wanted to see how it's brightness held up. I'm happy to report it only lost 1% between 30-300hrs so I feel confident I may be able to get 700-1000+hrs out of this bulb. I gave only 4 stars because this bulb, like all non-OEMs so far, does not have acceptable performance in 'normal' mode. But once switched to 'high' the bulb immediately had great colors and a reasonable brightness level. The color did calm down a bit after 100hrs or so but the picture quality is still pretty good.If you read my reviews you know I always install the bare lamps into a used OEM housing. The one thing that distinguishes this bulb from the others I've tried is the lack of cutaways in the reflector where air flows through to cool the filament capsule. Since the reflector doesn't sit flush against the lens there still is some space for the air to flow across the top of the reflector, but flow at the capsule would have to be reduced significantly without these cutaways. Whether or not this will reduce the life of the bulb is unknown but it's definitely concerning to see the mfg's intended air flow being altered this much. I will update if there is a premature failure. It's not cheap but this bulb seems to be a decent choice so far for this price. UPDATE 4/30/20: So I made some minor color calibration changes to conform more to this bulb's output and I have to say I'm fairly impressed. At 500hrs the bulb is maintaining the same brightness and the color quality is good as or better than anything I've seen. UPDATE 9/2/20: Over 1000hrs now with little brightness loss. I did notice a bit more color degradation around 800hrs but still looks pretty decent. CONCLUSION 11/29/20: Pulled this bulb at 1400hrs, measurements indicated that it lost around half of it's brightness between 1000-1400hrs. But in our very dark room it was surprisingly still watchable even though quite dim. I believe this is due to good color reproduction. Usually I will pull a bulb more because the colors start to become washed out, not because of brightness. In conclusion for those with a smaller screen or an environment with very little ambient light, you could very well get close to OEM hours out of this bulb.I should point out that several 5 star reviews, particularly those written from August to Sept 2020, lead me to believe that they may be shill reviews as they show the tell tale signs of coming from the same author. If you dismiss those then much of the feedback on these bulbs in 2020 is not very good... maybe I got lucky. I purchased my bulb in late 2019.The next bulb I will try is the OSRAM which, as a bare lamp, goes for similar money to this one. This seems to be the 'premium' bulb most prevalent for this application right now. But by looking at pics I can already see different versions than what were available a few months ago. It seems these products are in constant flux, sourcing bulbs from different suppliers or changing specs, so it's really hard to nail down what kind of performance to expect from one purchase to the next. I really liked the Philips branded bulbs I bought a few years ago but I just don't have much faith that I can find that actual product again, despite so many claiming to contain a Philips lamp.

Now I can't vouch for the lifespan but it looked identical to the Original lamp that I replaced, fit was perfect.

Picture is brighter than I can remember it ever being before. I would recommend making sure you're selecting the correct bulb for your exact model, spending the time to vacuum out the dust before installing the new bulb, and taking great care not to touch the glass or metal parts of the unit with bare hands. I highly recommend this seller and the products.

This bulb is garbage. Dimming greatly after 5 weeks of moderate use. The bulb I bought previously was less than half the price and stayed bright til it burned out after a year. Waste of money.
