We initially were looking for the little horseshoe eye-lit hooks but couldn’t find any to fit so we ended up buying the replacement head for my husbands Kombi. It’s perfect.

The head comes with line installed but it is a minimal amount and unraveled soon after installation. It's simply meant to get the user started without a hassle. Installation of line is an easy process and replacement of the old head for new was easy. The unit has now seen considerable use since first installing and it has held up to use very well. The "bump advancement" of the line is not 100% reliable but this may be partly due to tolerances being tight when new. The head is not as sturdy and the original (Stihl) head but for the money I am very satisfied so far.

The sizes are different so not interchangeable with original Stihl but they do work. I find the original product to be better functioning but that’s just my opinion.

It fit great and seemed to be a decent cheap replacement. Worked well for a couple of weeks (an hour or so of work). Then it literally disintegrated and blew apart. Not sure what material they use but it was melted and fried. My Stihl head lasted 10 years. They have a new self feeding head (twice as much money as this piece of garbage) but so far (a month) it’s been amazing and worth every penny!
