So after buying 2 different complete kits that were guaranteed to fit an 81 Corvette that didn't come with the correct shims for under the pinion race I found this kit. It is the correct pinion shim kit for Corvettes with the Dana 44ICA differential.

Kit is worth the price just to not worry about the crush sleeve anymore. Came with a good amount of shims to get the proper bearing preload.

Made building my axle a breeze. Totally removed the guess and check bs that comes with crush sleeves. Too tight or too loose, just adjust the shims and dial it in. Use some calipers to measure the original crush washer to get close, and adjust shims from there. Only took a couple tries and it works amazing

Worked on my Dana Super-70 but to my surprise, the package also came with carrier bearing shims (but only works on Dana 60 and regular 70s, not the Super-70 which uses Dana 80 carrier bearings and shims).

This is a good shim pack, I had no problems mixing shims in order to achieve the desired setup and pattern on my D44 differential. Also, the description doesn't mention that this shim pack also includes a new pinion nut and washer (The pinion nut is very high quality, thick-body locknut, with integral flange, much more stout than the OEM nut).
