The best pen I have ever used. Lead still sometimes breaks, but that is probably because I am not a neat writer, and I write with a lot pressure. This lessens the amount of breaking regardless of how hard I write. I have never used .5 lead before, but this pencil allows me to use it without breaking it for once. This product allows me to use 0.5 lead and that alone is amazing because usually even 0.7 lead breaks easily for me. 10/10 product.

The pencil is made of plastic rather than metallic. The grip part is rubber but it's not as thick as those Dr. Grip or Alpha-gel series, the rubber serves as anti slipping rather than comfort grip. Since the make is mostly light material, it feels like some feather when held in hand.That in mind, the DelGuard mechanism promises preventing lead breakage up to 3 clicks which this pencil does prevent lead breakage up to 3 clicks with moderate pressure which would definitely cause lead breakage in other pencils such as Pentel P205. So, the promise is met and I find it quite interesting. Also, the lead tip seems very EDC friendly since it is not those straight pipe types which usually ends up bent or causes punch through when clipped on some clothes. Note that the tip itself does not retract. But its shape and the Delguard mechanism are capable of withstanding some external pressure coming from odd angles.However, the mechanism has its drawback. The sturdiness is almost nonexistent. If you compare some stable pencils such as Penel P205 or Graph 1000, the springs in the DelGuard mechanism actually makes the lead a bit floaty than those hard pressed brass clutch drafting pencils. Of course, it does not cause any turbulence or side sliding of the lead but the floating feeling makes the pencil a bit weird to use if you were used to 'steady' mechanical pencils. I believe that this pencil still is far much stable than any of those plastic clutch cheap ones such as BiC or PaperMate ones.The sliding rear tip eraser is just a good gimmick. I usually do not use rear tip eraser at all. But it's pretty interesting to have. Also, the lack of clip, I haven't felt anything uncomfortable feeling from it. The roll stopper seems to be enough rather than a full size clip which could end up breaking down after a few abusive usages.So, overall, I would recommend this mechanical pencil if you are looking for feather-light writing experience. After all, the lead protection gimmick is not a deus ex machina for any situation. Those leads will break especially if you have heavy hand, anyway. I have seen some people breaks up thick leads such as 0.7~0.9 mm.. this pencil is not for those people! They will even bend the sturdiest mechanism.

En mi colección de porta minas es el de mejor diseño, la estética es muy peculiar, la forma en que se activa el borrador es única en su tipo, el agarre es muy bueno al escribir, aunque para mi gusto un poco grueso el barril, pero nada que moleste, es un excelente producto.

The pencil overall was very good for writing as the lead protection system prevented unwanted breaks while writing for long periods, and at different angles. With that being said, the pipe slide overtime failed to come out which lead to numerous lead breakages and more unpleasant writing experience. The soft rubber grip was a pleasure to have as it prevented fatigue over long periods of use. Overall, if you're looking for a mechanical pencil that will prevent lead breakage then this is a good choice, but you must note that the quality of the construction is subpar compared to other metal mech-pencil counterparts.
