It has been thirty years since I had cattle, but I still like to have ear tags around for long lasting identification of items. Or work done, last oil change, type of oil required, or the function of a line or hydraulic hose. A sharpie and some zip ties and you are good for years to come.

We tag calves at weaning so we can ID them if they get out of the wean pen and to differentiate our calves at the sale barn. The name brand tags were getting silly expensive when we only needed them to last a few months. I found these and we decided to give them a shot, not expecting much. They worked great, no problem at all with the Y-Tex tag applicator. We ended up keeping a couple heifers who got tagged and the tags are still fine after 6 months. I will order again. For once, buying a Chinese knockoff worked out for us. YMMV.

Shipping was faster than expected! tags are durable softer plastic and a really great deal for the money. A few of the backers are a little bit wonky looking but work.

I like them better than the printed tags I can write what I want on there like the year and the number of calves I’ve had that year to keep track better record keeping

Been using allflex and duflex for years, decided to give these a try. I have tagged 30 calves so far no issues. I have not even ruined a back yet while tagging, which I do every 10-15 tags with name brands. I will see how they hold up over the summer and fall if they stay in or loss rate. Right now I plan to buy again for next year.
