So far these little boards are great. (See update below)The board is very small and has no provision for a switch. If your lantern has a switch you will need to wire the switch inline of the + wire to the battery. If I had one wish that would be it, just put two solder points where you can solder in the wires from a switch or jumper it with solder if no switch. So far I have installed 2 and they both work well. The boards are made well and the solder pads are well defined, although not marked on the bottom side of the board so you need to flip it over each time you solder.9/26/24 update: It is important to note that the output voltage is 1.2v if you use a NiCad battery. One thing to know is that many solar units use a 1.2v NiCad battery but output 3V for the LED. That explains why there are fewer circuits on this board and how they can make it so small. In the end I was not able to use these for my lights, they are too dim. I'm sure there will be other projects where I can use these.

These are perfect for garden solar lights that have a single AA or AAA rechargeable battery. I knocked one star because the description of the wiring is not accurate on Amazon. Don't use that as a guide. I almost didn't buy this because the labeling here of the wires is wrong and I was afraid the boards were rejects or something with incorrect labeled solder pads. But the solder pads are correct. Connect the led string to the Ls, the Battery to the Bs, and the solar cell to the Ss.

Great replacement for small yard Solar lights. Must follow the instruction sequence of soldering in the wiring ...or it won't work. I don't know why.
