If you’re look for normal ones you can squeeze to disconnect these aren’t that. They lock in place and need the tool they come with to detach. Nice if you want to know it won’t pop loose, but bad if you need to disconnect and reconnect often.

First quality large wire contacts, I have seen for solar connectors. Used normal hydraulic crimp-er for crimping lugs on wires. Worked perfect every time. What a pleasure to use. Nice to be able to take the connector apart after assembling and reuse, if needed. Remember 8 awg connector will not work with 10 awg connectors, just make a ad adapter cable, that will work.

I bought these because I upgraded the solar on my RV to 800 watts, which meant I needed to use 8AWG solar wire connecting to a couple of panels, my 60amp charge controller & to the batteries. Upon initial installation I discovered the the internal connectors cannot be crimped. I have several styles of crumpets & they all split the connectors. So, these need to have the wires soldered to the connectors. If you don’t know how to solder then don’t get these.Second, it is very easy to over tighten the plastic housing connector. Be very careful. I cracked two of them and didn’t think they were that tight. I just wrapped some black electrical tape around them to hold in place & keep the seal tight.Other than those issues they seem to work just fine. They connect to all the various connectors I used, including Renogy & another aftermarket brand. The connections are snug so I have no concern about having loose connections at the male/female connectors or my soldered wire connections.
