Nice inexpensive oil filled compasses, I 3d printed little plastic holders with a loop for them and their utility went up 100%. They measure about 19.8 mm diameter x 7mm high so I designed the holder with a 20mm x 5mm cylinder void, 1mm walls, and a 5mm loop to tie on a piece of cord. They snap right in tight, no glue needed. Stowing one in all my backpacks and cars for just in case. All appear to find north reasonably well, no leaks or quality issues out of any in the package.

I bought them to inset on some walking sticks I am finishing. At first several were pointing in the wrong direction. A little flick and they rotated okay. I left them on the counter overnight and they all made their way to the correct reading.They are little button compasses. Give them a chance :-)
