Battery totally dead.Owned for almost exactly a year. Used very rarely. Maybe 20 times in total. Sound was OK. Nothing special overall. Just another risky generic music player. As most in this price range are. It's the third that had the battery die within a year.Reviewers should wait rather than give instant reviews. No matter how you feel, you are gambling about longevity.

I bought this MP4 player to let me listen to music while I'm traveling without using up my phone's charge and storage capacity and on the whole I'm happy with it.The device is basically a very small Android tablet with a few extra buttons for selecting the next song, etc. It runs Android 9 (or "Pie") with the most recent security update in 2021. It has GPS and I haven't run into compatability problems with any apps.As an MP3 player it works pretty well. The built-in speakers are surprisingly good (although the maximum volume is not very loud) and I have no problem running Spotify or any of the other music apps I tried. It also runs YouTube well. It aso has a built in FM receiver which requires the use of corded earphones. I find that each hour of listening to Spotify with an equalizer app, WiFi, and a Bluetooth speaker uses about 10% of the battery capacity. On the other hand, other apps such as Chrome are generally slow and use up the charge quite quickly. But the screen resolution is 1280 x 720 and if your eyesight is good enough browsing the web, reading ebooks with the Kindle reader, work pretty well.

Itโs a great value for the price. Itโs like a small budget phone without the cellular features. Comes with a case and screen protector. The build quality is excellent. Doesnโt look or feel cheap. I like the hardware buttons to control my music. But thereโs a few things that people need to knowโฆ The screen is really 720p. Itโs stated in the description but not the title (1080p in the title is misleading). The screen is an average LCD, so donโt expect deep blacks. So watching video is just okay. Also note that you cannot tap the screen to wake it up like you would on a smartphone. Something you have to get used to. The usb-c port doesnโt allow audio out. Charging the device is really slow. No fast charging here. And ram management is poor; you can only have one or two apps active in the background. Anything more will close and refresh apps. Donโt bother buying the extra storage options. Use a good branded sd card. Just donโt expect too much out if it, itโs really meant to be a one-hand media player. If you want a more versatile experience you could just buy a used small smartphone without inserting a SIM card. If you want a more premium Android-based music player with the same form factor look at HiBy M300. Get this if you donโt need anything fancy and just want a solid media player to save you from always relying your main phone.

I recently received this MP3 player and Iโm really impressed with it. The sound quality is excellent and perfectly meets my needs. The design is stunning, and the size feels just right in my hand. The screen sensitivity exceeds my expectations, and Iโm also happy that I was able to download the app I wanted, which turned out to be even better than I imagined. Overall, Iโm very satisfied with this shopping experience. This is my second time shopping, and it definitely wonโt be the last.

I got this DA/VP to replace an aging (and now quite slow) FiiO X1. It was about half the price I paid for the FiiO almost 10 years ago, and about 1/3 of the price of my other FiiO player (M7) that also has a touch screen. It beats the pants off both in terms of features and capabilities, even though I won't use many of them (streaming, WiFi connectivity, Web access and Google browser). It has a very substantial heft and feel, with outstanding fit and finish. It boots up the Android system quickly and there is very little lag when opening other apps or changing functions. It took awhile to get use to the touchscreen (quite sensitive) as I have never had a smartphone (and never will), but I'm getting the hang of it after a couple days of use.It features the best music player app I've ever used (Musicolet) that has almost every function one could ever want. In particular, the equalizer and volume controls beat many Desktop PC players (it also includes VLC media player) such as preamp, bass boost, surround sound and up to a 31 band equalizer (10 and 15 bands are the other options) that gives you ultimate control over frequency response. And that EQ even works with the line-out function, whereas the FiiO players disable this function when it detects a line-out connection. In addition, the Bluetooth capabilities are outstanding in terms of connection speed, signal strength, and no lag or dropouts in playback once paired. I can now use the player with BT while the player is charging, so there is no charging downtime needed. That brings me to the one significant shortcoming - which is typical of every player - the quoted 30 hours of battery life is hopelessly optimistic. Realistically, it is more like 8 hours, even with battery saver mode engaged. The fact that you can charge while using negates this, except for walking around away from a charger (I suppose you could use a portable power bank to get around this). The music sorting and cataloging functions are impressive, as are most other user control features. Even the FM Radio app is outstanding, with a reception sensitivity as good or better than my $100 portable FM/AM/SW radio, and the audio is muted when the signal fades - no blast of static or hash through the headphones or speakers. Of all the features of this unit - this may be the most impressive compared to rivals - or at least to people like me who still listen to FM radio (yes, I'm a dinosaur). As I said before, I won't use the streaming, WiFi or Web connectivity functions - nor will I use it as a video player (I would rather use my PC with Blu-ray drive and 32 + 42 inch monitors), but it worked fine when I tried it with a HD video clip. All said, the feature set is top-notch, especially at this price-point. I doubt you could get all these functions for less than twice the price, and everything I need or will use works great. The sound quality is just fine (with good quality digital music files, including lossless formats) and is equal to the FiiO M7 at 3X the price. Even the headphone amp has plenty of oomph for IEMs or on/over-ear headphones, though it doesn't have the 2.5 and 4.4 mm Balanced output jacks of my FiiO Q3 portable DAC/HP Amp - but that alone is also more than 3X the price of this player.All-in-all this is the best DAP I have ever used, with deluxe build quality and looks, and a bevy of advanced features. The fact that it is also a terrific bargain is the Maraschino cherry on top. Before trying one of the high-end players out there, give this one a spin first. I bet you will be as satisfied as I am, and save a bundle of money to boot. What more could you ask for?P.S. - 3 days after receiving this unit my formerly trusty old FiiO X1 had a catastrophic failure (the TIFF card got jammed inside the slot, and trying to loosen/pry it out with fingernail and then a tiny precision screwdriver caused sparks and a puff of smoke) ruining the player and the 128 GB TIFF card. BTW this player comes with a 128 GB TIFF card, making it an even better bargain.
