This small M8 model MP3 is very outdated. It requires a microUSB to charge and to connect to your PC. In addition, I find the touch screen navigation to be not very intuitive at all. Considering this, I don’t find it to be a good investment in tech. It’s okay as a budget music player for kids as it does have an SD card slot for expansive storage and a 3.5mm AUX-in port for wired headphones and speakers for direct audio playback . 2.5/5 stars

This product is listed at $69.99CAD where I live. In my opinion, this is an older technology that is being remaindered here. This product attempts to imitate the fruity brand of old, right down to the packaging. It arrives in the signature "white box" with a graphic. The unit itself looks like the ipods of old. The screen is a kind of pixellated graphic that is reminiscent of the mid-2000s. When I turned it on, the default date was 2020, which suggests that as a manufacturing date. So, this item is probably 4-years old, which is a lot time in the tech world. It does have bluetooth, which is an advantage. It comes with only 16GB of storage, although you can supplement with a card for an additional 128MB. But, that's part of the problem. A modern 128GB card is pretty small, and one wonders why this can't be built into the machine itself. 16GB is fine, I guess. The main drawback of this item is its general singular function: a music player. Most people these days use their phones for portable music. I'm not sure this device serves any kind of serious market anymore, as it's just another device to carry. For example, I have a waterproof music player that is the size of a thumb drive, and even that thing is 7 years old and much smaller than this unit. So, it plays music fine; the storage is passable; the bluetooth is good. But, my question remains: why not just use your phone? It comes with a carrying case, so it could serve as a dedicated workout unit in situations where you don't want to risk any damage to your phone. So, it could serve as a kickaround alternative. I'll probably use it for biking or skiing.

I love travel so I need something that has great battery life and I can listen to the music without Wi-Fi. This MP3 is the best for me! I downloaded all my favourite music to this tiny and light device in my pocket. The battery lasts really long. I turned off the bluetooth, 7 hours of music playback is totally no problem. I can also read e-book through this music player. The sound is perfect through the earphones. It can also connect to my bluetooth headhpone and speakers. I highly recommend it!
