The total length of the cable I received is 59 inches and the length of exposed cable is roughly 3.5 inches.Note that this cable has a loop on one end while the other end has a z-hook.The cable I received is of similar quality to the OEM cable as well as other cables I have purchased from my local small engine store. The price for this cable is comparable to those I purchased in store. The OEM cable costs three times as much.My original cable came with a rubber sleeve over the bare cable that could fill with water and then freeze resulting in damage to the cable. This happened when I had just purchased my snowthrower years ago and didn't realize what the problem was. Very bad original design.Unfortunately, there was damage to the outer plastic sheathing in two close by places. I doubt this will be a general problem for all other purchasers and this defect can be easily remedied with some heat shrink tubing.
