I used this to support my lift column which raised my 60 foot radio tower and there was no bending at all in the lift column even with over 1500 pounds of force. Very good product!

I got this to be able to do a classroom demonstration in my Intro to Psychology college course. There is a thing in psychology known as "social loafing," where people working on their own tend to be able to pull more weight (literally) than people working together. To test this, you attach a rope to a spring scale (rated at around 1000lbs) and ask individual people to pull as hard as they can on the rope. The other side of the spring scale has to be anchored to something that won't be pulled out of the wall. I found that the school officials where I teach didn't really want me to drill into and anchor a lifting eye to the wall, so I got this strap. The idea is to use a choke rigging around one of the concrete columns holding up the roof in the common area! The scale gets hooked to the eye of the strap and the other side gets the rope. This strap is just what the scientist ordered! So, for the rest of the demonstration, you measure the amount of force each person (of maybe 5 or 6 people) can pull individually. Then you put those same people together on the rope to all pull at once, and the scale shows that the total is less than the sum of the individual numbers! Someone, or maybe everyone, is not "pulling their weight," yet everyone thinks that they are!Anyway, this is a heavy-duty, rated lifting strap that will certainly perform well, and not only for psych demonstrations. Recommended!
