I like the compact size. I like the ease of use, once set up properly. I got 3 of these, gave one to a friend, one had a corrupted card after first use, so got another, but after getting help and extra backup cards flashed, I am set! I do suggest to get a cable with an off/on switch to connect it to your battery pack, though.

For Raspberry Pi enthusiasts like my husband, the Raspberry Pi Voice Modem is an exciting addition to their toolkit, at least according to my husband lol. I ordered this because my husband always likes working on and modifying his Raspberry Pi project(s), and pretty much anything in that general arena does seem to make him happy. My instinct was on point because he was truly excited to receive this. He seemed impressed with the quality and was beyond thrilled that I ordered it for him as a surprise. He's happy, so I'm happy. Recommended!

Bought this to use with my DMR radio. The interface says it supports modes like D-STAR, DMR, M17, NXDN, P25, and YSF. As well as DMR xmode and YSF xmode , FM, and POCSAG. I could not get P-25 mode working on this hotspot. I also had trouble with YSF mode. The configuration files get corrupted when I try to use YSF and P-25 modes. The description of this unit only says DMR, D-STAR and YSF. I did figure out how to get DMR2YSF to work. The unit keeps changing it's ip address on the network so I have to keep checking it to see what ip address it is on. So far it has worked well with my DMR radio.

The Raspberry Pi board was good but the radio board was defective. By the time i had this confirmed, my 30 day return window had expired. I was left with no way to contact the seller for replacement or return the product.
