P20 amp smart battery charger Problem

1: Can't reach the maximum charging current? To protect the battery, the system automatically identifies the battery voltage and selects the most appropriate current to charge the battery. When the battery voltage is low (for example, the 12V battery voltage is less than 11V), the system automatically charges the battery at the maximum current. (3 gears can adjust charging current, large current, fast charging)

2: The LifePO4 battery is not fully charged? When the battery is fully charged, it has a callback function, reducing the charge by about 1V-2V, which is normal. Added a small current after full charge uninterrupted charging.

3: Fan noise? It is normal that the fan has wind.

P20 parameters

Very happy with the versatility and ease of use for me as a newbie to offgrid 12v PO4 battery use.

Purchased to charge lithium battery bank. Works really well and have also charged lead acid car batteries. I like the display, shows all data and how many amps have been pushed into the battery. Easy to set up and use. Would buy again.

After thoroughly researching battery chargers for lithium batteries, I selected this one to charge my trolling motor battery. The price was well within budget and it had great reviews. After using it twice now, I will add to those good reviews and say this is a great buy. It may not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive chargers, but it charges batteries and has the added features to protect the battery from over charges, over heating and cross connection.

Worked better than my unit that cost 3x as much. Like the info displayed. A little loud on highest charge setting but it wasn’t too bad.

Quite happy with this charger. I bought it to charge my new lithium batteries for the RV which it does well. Just for fun, I tried using the repair cycle on an older lead acid battery which would not hold a full charge, and it worked!! The fan is a bit noisy but not an issue as it's used in the garage.

This charger will allow Life Po batteries to decharge to 0% during long term battery use. I understood this product has smart tech to that would start to charge the battery when a certain threshold happened. This means it would turn the charger on and off when the battery needed it. Hence the idea of SMART charging. I was using as a backup battery for GoPros shooting time lapse unmanned. I learned the hard way that this charger will NOT automatically turn on to charge the battery. It will restart the charge if you disconnect one of the charge cables but that means I need to physically do that.

The unit itself seems well made. Power cable and clamps are both removeable. Display is lit and easy to read. Its able to detect 12v and 24v batteries automatically. There is only 1 button to change selection of batteries, EG: gel, lead acid, lithium, or repair mode etc.For the price it works well and charges quickly. It was able to "unlock" my 100AH Renogy lithium battery after its charge had gone too low. Multiple chaging levels from 5-20A adjusted by a sliding switch. The not so good. The fan is ridiculously loud. Even on low Amp (5) levels. On high 20A, its a screaming hair drier, maybe because it needs a bigger heat sink? The display is not very accurate. Volt readings on display vs a multimeter are off. The unit show higher than actual. The battery level indicator is pretty useless. If you interrupt the charging process, the estimated AH level resets to zero. You never really know how long before charging ends. Trust me, you want this screaming tornado to stop as soon as possible. Recommend charging in the garage, far from people.Still, ok for the price, just get ear plugs.

I am using three of these units. Two sets on a group of four each lead acid batteries and one unit on a group of four AGM batteries. They have worked perfectly. And to my surprise I used the repair feature on all the older flooded batteries which were registering at below 30% life and since conditioning all four separately they register now as 82% again and have held this fore months. So one of these thing saved me about $600 in a battery set. Very happy with product. Orders a fourth unit to have on hand as a spare.

I purchased this charger for my LiFePo batteries, and it works great. I have also used it on several lead acid batteries. I am very satisfied with this battery charger. This battery charger is small, simple to operate, and works as advertised. Very happy with the quality and price of the charger.

Nice little charger. I picked this up to replace an old full size Can Tire charger.Single button to switch between battery types.Tried it on 2 car batteries (Charged and shutdown when full)Tried on a LiPo4 (Charged properly)Tried to charge a large portable power station (1500wh). Charging would not start for this combo since both units are searching for an initial voltage to begin. Tricked it by applying a voltage briefly to get it started and it worked at 24v which was a nice bonus. The charger also has an auto winter/summer mode to take temp into account while charging.Included battery clips are nicer than you would expect at this price. The charger is also louder than you would expect as mentioned by other reviewers but not really an issue if used outside/in a garage.

The Good:Its small and lightweight... and CHEAPComes with attached color coded wires and ClampsThe power wire is quite long. But not 10ftIts got a crisp well sized screen given how small it isIt seems to regulate charging using ambient temperatureIt does not seem to overheatIts very simple to operate: It has a manual switch for current intensity (5/10/20), although it regulates UP to that intensity. It always starts below the rated selectionIt allows push-button toggling between "repairing" or charging Regular/agm, Lifepo4, and Lithium batteries, (that fingerprint looking image)It automatically starts executing as soon as it detects voltage across the clampsIt is advertised to have reversing and shorting protectionThe BadThe wires are permanently attached. You get clamps. No optionsThe screen prompts are cryptic. EG: PUL for pulse (repair), FUL for ChargedThe meter is not very accurate. Tends to read 0.1 V higherThe thermometer isn't very accurate eitherThe Fan is VERY Noisy, and ON most of the timeIt didn't see it do Maintain/Float. It charges once per manual interaction - eg disconnect and reconnect the clamps. I left my LiFePo4 to rest down to 13.4V. Thats about 95% charge. It didn't kick back in.You need to deceive it to charge any battery under 7 volts.Consequently, It will not reset a sleeping BMSI tried recovering a drained lead/acid UPS battery with this device. I refilled the cells with distilled water, and used the recovery setting. No response. Hooked a 12V car battery in parallel, and it started 'PUL'sing. After reading 10V, I disconnected the larger battery. It kept going, until it read "FUL"-13.6V. But the battery was still drained, at 6V. So don't count on it to repair any batteries. That said, I bought it to bulk up my LiFePo4s on overcast days. It took them up to 14.5V after a LONG charging session (12 hrs + for a 200Ah capacity, I think that's a 0.1C max rate). So that works pretty well, though a little slow for large batteries.
