Sorry to say that I am very unhappy with this charger. When I received this charger I first tried to read the manual on connecting it up properly. The english version is very hard to follow because it jumps from step 2 to step 7. I went to the chinese version where I figured out what to connect first and what button to push.My battery bank is a big one and this charger would go no higher then 2 amps. I would push the 25 amp button but it refused to go above 2 amps. I then tried it on a older car battery on it`s refresh mode and it would not start so I used my old transformer style charger on my battery until it was 11 volts measured by my multi meter. I then connected the new charger and it did not start to charge. I sent it back for a refund and bought one from Canadian Tire which is working perfectly.

I had my truck battery, a nationally known, high quality brand, only 8 months old, go dead on me. I mean DEAD. Like a rock dead. My old analog charger that I'd used for a very long time simply reset over and over when I tried to use it to charge the battery. It was Labor Day weekend so there wasn't much I could do taking it somewhere to be tested so I ordered this "smart" battery charger and it was delivered the next day. I followed the instructions and set it to run the 24 hr Repair Cycle (if you ever do this, make sure that the battery is disconnected from the car to avoid damaging your electronics). At the end of the cycle the charger did an auto-check of the battery and made sure that it was fully charged. I took it down to the Battery manufacturer's distribution center(very luckily there is one in the next town over) had them test it. Holy cow, it tested perfectly good! /yay. I installed it back onto my truck and it's behaving as if nothing ever happened. I love this charger!It's nice and compact and has a cooling fan that automatically activates if the charger gets too warm. The case is metal, not plastic, so that will serve as a heat-sync. It will auto-sense what kind of battery you have, but you do have manual control of certain settings should you wish to try a particular charging sequence. The charger will choose the appropriate amperage for the job, too. The display is very easy to read and will keep you informed of the charging as it progresses.I have lots of different types of batteries and as this charger will work with all type of lead-acid batteries, including GEL and ADM, it will pretty much cover all of my bases.Definitely recommended.

The best thing about this charger is the display.It tells you the voltage of the battery(when unplugged) like a multimeter,and once you plug it in ,it permanently tells you how many amps is giving,the temperature of the battery and so forth.Really advanced,,practical charger.

A+++ No complaints whatsover - it took a nearly dead BMW battery and after original charging that took it to 40%, running a repair cycle the next night, then recharging again for a 3rd, has brought it back up to 80% at least for the time being until we can buy new. Well worth owing and very easy to use and read.(One thing to note- 1st time round as the battery was drained it didn't identify it as an AGM automatically.To do so, let it run at least 10 minutes through the desulfurization cycle, and charge another 10 min, then unplug & unhook and wait 30 seconds. Then rehook up and plug in and it should now read the battery correctly as AGM thereafter and let it run the full recharge or repair cycle from there.)
