These are very basic boxes. The hinges and the latches are 100% plastic, and if you will be using the boxes often, you may want to buy something with at least a metal hinge.My biggest dislike is that it is not immediately clear which half is to top lid. If you accidentally open it with the lid down (and the lid and the bottom look pretty identical), your slides will fly. I've put labels on the top lids.The latch is very stiff initially. You have to fight it to open the box. Again, if you put enough strength into opening the box, you slides may fly once it flips open.Overall, these are so-so boxes, very basic and light duty.

These are pretty inexpensive boxes that together hold a lot of slides in a small space. They stay closed pretty well, it took a moment to see how the latch works - you put your thumb on the flat part of the latch, and then lift up on the other side of the latch. They’re good for the price

These slide boxes would have been perfect but they were difficult to open and when I finally managed to open it my slides went all over the floor breaking many of them.
