Happy with this product overall

I ordered this checker mainly so that I could determine which bolt/nut size I need to buy at the hardware store, before getting there. Too often I’m standing in the aisle in front of dozens of boxes, trying to find the right size. So having this handy tool to identify exactly what I need beforehand, will be a time saver.It’s quality made with a thick metal base, and it feels strong and sturdy. It measures both nuts and bolts, in both metric and standard sizes. There are also rulers printed on the top edges in centimeters and inches to measure bolt length. It comes with a pitch gauge tool as well, but I’m not sure that I will use that too often. There are a couple of holes at the top which I will be using to hang it from a hook in my workshop.It’s exactly what I was looking for (and expecting), and I was not disappointed!

As a retired auto mechanic, Service Writer, and business owner, I miss the thread checker thing hanging on the shop wall. After spending 50 years in the biz, I can glance at an SAE bolt/nut and know what it is, but always struggled with metric stuff.When I saw this available, it was a no brainer to order it. I grabbed some bolts and nuts from my voluminous "bolts and nuts drawers", and checked some items, and the thread checker board and pitch gauge were dead on.As soon as I decide where to mount it on the wall its going up.Really glad to have this and thanks to the Gimyuan Store for making it available!Recommended.

As a homeowner that has several projects on his list, I'm always finding myself taking screws and nuts to the hardware store. Usually, this means that whatever I'm trying to build or repair has a missing fastener as I go to the store to get a replacement because that screw or nut has to come with me. Unlike a lot of nut and bolt checkers, this is solid metal, and is very similar to what you find bolted to the wall at the hardware store. Every screw on the board was not only solidly held in place, but it was also very accurate with every option that you might need. The tolerances are extremely precise.I attached a picture showing some screws and nuts from my miscellaneous parts drawer, and every one that I pulled out of the drawer had a matching screw or nut that I could use for reference. In addition, the tolerances of both the holes and the screws were very good, without any play between the checker and the hardware it was checking. It appears to have three mounting holes which is great if you want to make your shop look like the hardware store (which I might do once I find a good place for it on the wall). For the time being, I put this in a tool drawer where I keep other measurement equipment. This replaces a plastic bolt gauge that I had - that one was missing the ability to check the thread, which burned me a few times. Gladly, as you can see from the photos, there are multiple options for both SAE and Metric thread pitches on both tools that come in this set.Because I'm in the U.S. our big box hardware stores usually have a vast selection of SAE, but a tiny selection of Metric, so I often waste a trip to the hardware store and end up buying replacement screws online anyways. This is a big upgrade from what I'm used to, and will save me a lot of time, giving me the ability to check screws and nuts before I go to the hardware store.

This is quick at finding a bolt or nuts size without having to measure them. Makes checking very quick. It's built tough and is a perfect addition to any shop! Cheers
