This kit was used to replace the leaking flashing around a vent pipe. The ACNOYEL vent boot kit is made with good quality and durable materials. The aluminum flashing on has a thick EPDM base with ridge rings around the entire base which made getting a good seal on our older steel roof much easier. The aluminum flashing is flexible to easily mold to the roof panel’s profile. The kit’s clippers were ok (not great) for cutting out the pipe hole following the guide in the EPDM material. The vent pipe fit through with the boot material forming a good tight seal.After pre-fitting everything together, I used a little bit of flashing silicone around the base to reinforce the seal. The kit’s self-tapping sheet metal screws pulled everything together to form a tight seal and secured the pipe boot. (Pro-Tip: don’t over tighten the screws.) Overall, the installation was fairly easy, especially after watching a couple of online videos.The ACNOYEL pipe boot kit seems durable. It has held up well against the snow and ice from this winter. Bottom line, this pipe boot is performing the functionality of keeping water out of the attic flawlessly with ZERO leaks. It meets our local building code requirements. The price is very reasonable.
