If the holes are too big for your seeds, you must put put planting paper on grid sprout tray to prevent seeds leakage.
Please do not put too many seeds on the plate to avoid they overlap and become moldy.
When adding water, the water should not exceed the grid plate, otherwise the beans will be corrupted.

This is the first time I’ve tried growing microgreens, and I’ve had great success over the last month with these trays. They’re not very thick but they don’t need to be to get the job done. The lids work well in creating the greenhouse effect that the seeds need to germinate. Once they’ve sprouted, you can remove the cover and let the sprouts grow to their ideal size. Harvest and begin again!

This was supposed to be 5 trays. 4 arrived. 3 out of 4 were damaged. (large cracks in the plastics). 1) fragile product. 2) this store does not know how to count. (Photos available upon request)

Our family grows sprouts and microgreens every winter when we can’t garden in our backyard. We’ve been using sprouting trays for a number of years but this is the first set that came with lids and it’s a game changer! The lids are helpful to create a greenhouse environment and to help to contain water/moisture in the early sprout stages of microgreens. The lids can then be removed to allow the microgreens to grow bigger and longer. These are good quality plastic trays and I recommend them for all your microgreen needs!
