The parts fit well and operate well. Please note that you will need to transfer the choke lever mechanism from your original carburetor to this replacement. Your carburetor might also have optional brackets to support engine sheet metal. It is easier to swap out these parts prior to installing the new carburetor on your Snow Blower or whatever machine you are working on. Remember to be careful of all linkages for the throttle which is tied to the speed governor. This is a great part to get another decade or more out of equipment you already own.

Owned a 26" snowblower since new in 1997 with HMSK80 engine, replaced multiple carbs and this one works best so far. Prior to this had an adjustable one, but could never get it just right. Replaced with this one and used the gasket + a short length of included tube, nothing else in the kit tested so far but all accessories are there if needed. Took a few minutes to prime, start and stabilize the first time, but then went on through its first snow storm for a full hour of good performance. Happy with purchase and would buy again a non-adjustable carb, recommended.

My Ariens snowblower came with a Tecumseh HMSK80 carburetor. The gaskets leaked gas after 24 years of use, and OEM parts are no longer available. At $16 per kit, I bought two for a replacement. Fit was perfect including linkage interfaces. However, when I primed the carburetor, gas leaked out around the float bowl seal. The snowblower started and ran fine, and the leakage stopped while running. I repeated this sequence six times, with the same result. Conclusion: a) An inexpensive solution to get the snowblower up and running. b) The fuel bowl or other gaskets that leak gas when priming suggests inadequate factory gasket design / assembly. c) The factory setting for this carburetor was perfect for choke and idle speed. d) Check for any gas leakage below the carburetor before starting the snowblower.

An exact fit for my 2006 OEM Snow King snowblower engine. Started on the first pull, checked high and idle RPMs with a tachometer and they were spot on, no adjustment needed. Only used the carb, original fuel/primer lines and primer bulb were just fine, but good to have replacements for future needs. Quick and simple installation, no instructions so if you're skittish, look up your specific snowblower on Youtube and watch some of the many videos. Take pictures and note which hole the governor link uses, I marked the correct spot for the new one with a Sharpie before I started. You'll also use the original shield bracket and choke linkage, so be sure to note how they work. And do yourself a favor and use ONLY ethanol-free gas in small carbureted engines, mine was 12 years old when I got it, clearly the previous owner did not. I'll clean out the old carb at some point and put it on the shelf, but this was a hassle free, quick and efficient choice

Replace my old worn out Carb on my Snow Blower with 8 1/2 HP Tecumseh engine. Perfect swap and it started up instantly! I can adjust the idle speed without a problem. The Choke works great too! Well worth the price. I did swap the carb bowl because it has a drain valve, the new carb didn't have this. If you want it to last ALWAYS drain the gas from the Carburetor after closing the flow valve. Todays Gas is so bad it will cause permanent damage if you allow it to sit for months. It turns into a green crusty gum. This applies to all gasoline power equipment. Methanol is the problem, if you can find gas without it you're fine.

This carb works just as I hoped & better than trying to get the old one to work having old fuel left in it for 8 years. The primer, hose & knobs were a bonus.
