As long as you connect the recycled empty wine bottle to the plant stake and then stick into the hole dug previously in the soil, they will drip water automatically.
With these watering spikes, water slowly sipped to make plants grow greener, healthier, especially for areas there's air almost no humidity.
How-to-use:
Before use soak the stakes in water to treat the Terracotta and open its pores.
Take a long neck bottle make sure the bottle is clean and fill it water. Place the Watering Stake on the top of the now filled bottle.
Turn the bottle over carefully with the stake firmly on the top. Be careful not to squeeze too much, but keep the bottle opening covered so it doesn’t overflow.
Push the stake and bottle into the guide hole carefully till it’s almost completely in the soil.
It's that simple!

These work great. The securely a 750 mL wine bottle and slowly delivery water to larger planters for 4 days to almost 2 weeks, depending on weather and soil conditions.

I love that they are made from natural clay material and I just leave them buried in my houseplants for when I go away and then I add a wine bottle to them. Waters my plants well for two weeks

Used them while I was away for a couple of weeks and had 1 litre bottles on them. When I came back home the bottles were empty and the soil was drenched on the smaller pots (medium size). But at least my plants didn’t die :)

I bought these to maintain my outdoor flower pots while on vacation for a week and they worked well.As you can see in the picture, the bottle is not visible from the front. I ended up using these regularly to reduce how often I need to water, since the plants only absorb what they need. I suggest using a bigger wine bottle if you plan to be away longer. I haven’t tried it, but I think it would work. I recommend this product.

work very well in large plants like geraniums with full leaves etc. The large plants hide the wine bottle.wish they made smaller ones for smaller plants, keeps the plants evenly moist.

I ordered these terra cotta spikes to use in my outdoor planters. With the intense afternoon heat, the plants were always thirsty when I got home. These watering spikes have solved the problem.They arrived well-packaged and unbroken. The spikes were solid and heftier than I’d imagined. I soaked them for a few hours, dug holes for them in the planters, and then placed the spikes in the planters. I topped them off with 1L or 2L plastic bottles filled with water. I found the 1L President’s Choice carbonated water bottles and the 2L Coke bottles had longer necks, fit very well, and are quite unobtrusive.In this July heat, I only have to refill the water bottles every 3-4 days, for 12”-14” diameter pots. The plants look much healthier too! They are getting just the right amount of water, as there are no water puddles below them and they have a lot of new growth.
