I am very dissapointed in this item as it states it has both an input plug and out put. We did not receive the input plug which makes this item useless.

When the charger is plugged into the bike and not plugged into the wall. There is a light on the charger that is still lit. So it is consuming a little bit of your bike's power when it's not plugged in. But other than that it was as described and it was a very solid product. Bought this unit to replace the 6 year old stock charger I suspected wasn't charging my new batteries to full capacity. Always reading between 78 and 79v float charge after use. This charger charges to between 81 and 82v float charge after use. Seems to be a very well built unit with a bit of weight to it. My ebike charges a lil faster at 3 amps, instead of the original 2.8 amps with my old charger. I'm now able to travel about 3-4km further than before. Glad to learn my batteries are still able to take a full charge after slightly undercharging them for 3 months. Very happy with my purchase!

Retracting my good review. Unit sparked after wires frayed (plastic casing broke) on both ends of the cord. DO NOT RECOMMEND! FIRE HAZARD

i bought this charger about three times not because they stopped working because they truly worth the money, i had one ebike daymak that could not keep any power in the batteries after using this charger the bike was able to hold power again and could get 40km range out of it.I sold that ebike and got a new one so i bought this charger again and again its charger my bike faster and doing a lot better job then the cheaper china made chargers.i also bought another charger for a friend of mine who had batteries that didn't want to hold power and sadly those batteries were to dead to fix but after buying new ones he is still using this charger today and it will charge his bike to 100% he owns a DayMak EM2
