I've been making lanyards for a year now without this tool and now that I have one I wonder why I waited so long! There is a plastic covering on the ends so the clamp part does not scratch the metal.

Quality of the metal is awesome! I tried to close the clasp with my hands and couldn't get it to move at all - which is what I wanted! The tool is perfect and rubber coated so it wont scratch the keyfob.
