When I first got these my first reaction was : “What am I going to do with all these tiny cones”. Then I needed to rebuild an alternator. Those small ones are perfect to plug the small screw holes on the alternator housing. I am also powder coating some other components that need the larger plugs. Also they can be trimmed shorter so that both sides of a through holes can be plugged. Overall a very useful product that I would buy again.

80 Pc 1/16" to 3/4" High Temp Silicone Rubber PlugsWhat a bargain! Particularly surprised these plugs cover everything I've encountered in 2 major automotive repair projects. And so far, I believe they will outlast me.After decades of using saved plastic shipping plugs, tape, and whatever I could improvise, the use of silicone plugs are so convenient, and they really hold well, especially if you will finesse a small bit of wiggle technique when inserting.Someone really put a lot of thought into this assortment quantities and size range.Looking forward to a larger size set for heavy equipment hydraulic system repairs.Word of caution against choosing a plug that's just big enough to plug the hole, as the plug can get slippery when coated in oil. When it's time to remove with needle nose pliers, these plugs are dense enough that they can eject out of the end of the pliers - further into the orifice you're plugging. This is easily avoided by removing any oil from the exposed portion of the plug before removing and choosing the next size up in the beginning.
