when not sending any audio signal into it, you can hear a sort of squealing noise. perhaps i just had a defective one. also when plugging headphones into the amp slot for the first time, you hear a loud pop (bad circuitry?). but for non hi-fi listening situations, this little amp could still be just fine. i recommend the "STABCL Headphone Amplifier 8 Channel" here at amazon, for a similar price, and it does not have the noise in the line.

Needed more audio outputs and this device works great. However I was disappointed with the length of the AV power cable. It sits on my desktop and the 3" cable barely reaches the the power strip and leaves no slack for mobility. Otherwise works as advertised.

Guess I ordered this by mistake thinking I was looking at 3.5 mm stereo jacks throughout. When I put in 1/4 inch to 3.5 adapters, the connections weren't secure enough and I had horrible intermittent contact on the input jack. The amplifier did a great job boosting the signal but the setup was unusable for my group.There's a market for this product with 3.5 mm jacks!

Was hesitant to buy this unit with no reviews. I guess this will be the kick off.It was shipped quickly and is actually working fantastic. I tested all 8 outputs with professional headphones and its sending good, with its own volume for each output.Only down side is for the power cord to be very short (about 18 inches). I removed one star for this reason.I have yet to put it into production for my band to get in ear monitors.But the unit tested good out of the box.
