This was originally purchased to seal up a few spots on my shed roof that were leaking. It worked so well, I used it to seal the top of a leaking window, too. This is a really inexpensive way to repair a roof or window leak. Great product!

So actually ordered this by mistake. Thought I was buying a thick, adhesive backed foil tape. I didn't realize this was not that. This is a roll of just 0.3mm aluminium sheet used for doing flashings. I can still use it though but for something else than what I originally intended. It seems to be of quality. No major scratches, or anything, brushed aluminium like finish and the thickness is as advertised at 0.3mm when I measured with the calipers. The width came out to just a touch over 100mm. Or about 3.94in.There isn't really much else to say.

This review is for the Aluminum Flashing Roll Roof Flashing,4Inch*50Ft Metal Roofing Flashing,0.3mm Thickness Aluminum Roof Panels for Sealing Windows Doors Siding Roofing Preventing Roofing Stains and Moss.I grabbed this to use when the weather warms up as I have a patio awning that's leaking where it meets the roof line. I know it's from the original silicone sealant being worn out. So I'm going to use this run behind the metal that's under the roof shingles and comes down onto the fascia board, then the butyl tape sealer so it covers the crack where the awning meets the fascia. This will be behind the metal on the top end, the bottom end will be on top of the butyl tape.I already tried to put the bottom of that metal framing back inside the gutter where it belongs and propped the gutter up. I had the leak stopped, but with all the freezing heaving and then thawing dropping of the ground, part of it came out of the gutter. The problem is when they redid the roof years ago, unknown to us they broke some of the gutter hangers and just didn't hook others back up. They just left the entire span of gutter sitting down on top of the awning! So, this allows a lot of water to bypass the gutter and end up on top of the awning, when it goes to run down off it hits that crack that happens to be under the gutter now and leaks onto the now enclosed patio. Not real happy with that!So I'll get it all sealed up and it'll be fine then, and I'll be happy with a dry enclosed patio again! That butyl tape is amazing stuff, so if I get a good dry spell where it's reasonably warm here even if it's still winter time and not windy, I may get it done. If not I'll temp run something on the underside to catch the drips and run it into the downspout tile drainer thing. Yes I'm a woman, I don't know what it's officially called OK. LOL.Regular price $ 19.99 per the listing for the 4 inch X 50 feet and there's a 5% off coupon, I'm good with it.As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

This aluminum roll flashing was ideal for correcting for some previously incorrectly installed window cap trim that seems to be less waterproof than one might hope. I had tried some other flashing before on a whim, but it was too heavy of a gauge and wasn't workable by hand, so I knew I wanted to try something less than half a millimeter thick. This aluminum flashing, at 0.3mm, met that requirement nicely, and with a 50 foot roll it isn't so much that I'll have to commit a lot of storage space to the remainder of the roll when I'm done with the present series of improvements. This flashing can be cut cleanly with snips, bent and worked by hand, and then finished with a smooth hammer or mallet to ease the edges and prevent gaps... I will have to rough it up a little to get some dull paint to hold (as its quite shiny) once I'm done with all the windows, but I do think it's a better choice for me than a zinc option would be where there could be some runoff or streaking over time. I'm very pleased by the gauge of this roll, as it's a good compromise between durability (no concerns about unintended fatiguing or tearing) and flexibility to contour to imperfect edges and surfaces. Pretty ideal for my purpose, so I'd definitely recommend it at this point.
