I have an old pirate-style chest. It once had a brass lock on it, but the wood gave way around it and I needed something new. This decorative clasp covered the damage and looks like it was made for the chest!I appreciate that it comes with an old-looking padlock and key.Nice touch.

So this is definitely not for security however it does look fantastic on my rack. The screws and the design as well as the weight and the quality are pretty good. Super easy to put on and the lock is cute. Obviously you do not want to use this to keep anything but maybe toddlers out of something as it could easily be unscrewed and the lock is super easy to pick. For just holding something together or keeping a cabinet door closed or what have you this is perfect. You get everything you need for the project.
