This product does exactly what is is designed to do, at the price that I wanted to pay. It is quite heavy in my opinion, but it gets the job done. Several buyers have complained that there is "noise" generated by this unit. I am able to hear a very faint amount of noise, but it isn't enough bother me. I could probably overcome this with a $600-$700 unit. Given the price of this unit the performance is excellent. We use this as part of a church sound system in a hall that has horrible acoustics. Given that we really only use one output channel (Speaker Left) on our Mackie mixer I chose to purchase the single channel 31 band vs the dual channel 15 band option. I chose to have greater tuning over dual channel functionality. I would definitely purchase again. I feel that this product is very well priced and that it is a great value. If you are expecting the performance of a "high-end" unit then buy one. If you want exceptional value combined with quality, buy this one.

It works fine and I have no complaints except that I actually WISH we had bought a stereo one! If you're thinking about that, go for the stereo version and don't fool around, it's not that much more money! And 31 bands are definitely better than 15. Each of the 31 bands covers about a major third, you still can't zero in on only one single problem note but it gets in close enough. And there is no noticable noise.

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: The ART 351 Equalizer is full spectrum, single-channel unit, useful for anyone in the Audio-Visual, Music, Recording, or Performing Arts industry. Those who favor pre-mixing their analog signal chain rather than post-mixing digitally will prefer this product over others."You can never have too much equalization" at any part in your signal chain. Pre or post amplification, equalizers can be extremely handy at shaping the overall sound of your setup. Here are some features I think sets the ART 351 apart from all others:1. 31-Band... might seem overkill for the amateur, but after having gone down the road of audio engineering, I realized that as a musician, fine-tuning certain frequency bands over others can radically reshape your tone. Most 15-band, 10-band, or 9-band equalizers are limited in their overall frequency response. Most of these EQs are 20Hz ~ 16kHz, which is fine for instruments, but if you're recording vocals, drums, pianos, and other stringed acoustic instruments, that extra 16kHz ~ 20kHz range that the ART 351 has can really lift up a track and will let you get the most out of your mix.2. Low & High Pass Filters... again, other EQs may have a "Low Cut" feature, but being able to drop a Low and High Pass filter really quickly while you're performing live can be a really effective way to remove bass rumbles or feedback-producing higher frequencies that suddenly appear out of nowhere. In a recording setting, Low and High Pass Filters are some of the most commonly-applied EQ tools when it comes time for mastering.3. Ground Lifter... this is probably one of the best features this unit has. Ground Loops and other electrical signals producing from having multiple gear running from the same outlet or in your chain can be REALLY annoying, especially since they are pervasive in every frequency band. You can reduce them with EQ kinda-sorta, but the best way to handle electrical signals is by purchasing a power conditioner to run your gear off of, or using a Ground Lift somewhere in your chain. Noise Cancelers can be effective too, but those can really squelch your tone if you use them to eliminate 50~60Hz electrical noise.Overall, if you want a high-equality, full-spectrum equalizer that isn't another brand with a poor track record for rack units, with a 2nd-channel that will remain unused, then I recommend you get this EQ unit instead, you won't regret it.
