Got it for call outs for logging roads on RR channels and in case of emergency. It's basically useless for this task. Transmission is locked on those frequencies. Tried to use it to communicate with my kids walkie talkies and those frequencies are also locked. It's basically useless for me.

We had about a 6 mile range with them not 13 maybe in the right terrain without interference, still impressive though, concerned about who to call if we have problems with them or need batteries. The receiver comes in loud and clear easy to hold, clip on the back is a must for us as well!
