It's pre driller and grooved for ease of assembly however the one I received did not align well at all so I ended up not able to use it so threw it out. Do not recommend this bat house.

The wood is so thin when you screw the nails in (hand screwdriver) the wood bulges and the nails pop. We can't even attach roof properly.Real Value? Its being returned.
