I installed three of the Picture Lamps on the front hallway wall. These budget priced art lights look fine and provide low intensity illumination for subtle affect.The wiring was extended and pulled up through the wall studs and into the attic. Then over to a closet in an adjacent room. I upgraded the individual 12VDC wall transformers to a single 12VDC / 1 Amp supply, which is ample capacity to run the three lights.

Love it, I have had it for a while and I still think that’s. The sleekest look. It let’s the art shine. Got all of them mounted on a smart power bar so when I light them up I feel like I’m at a museum

It was easy to install and is perfectly positioned to show off my painting. It is easy to turn on and off (depending on how high the picture is hung.) it is a soft light. I am very pleased.

The light is cool, not warm.For paintings hanging high one needs to bend the metal so the light doesn’t shine in your face.This is easy.Overall, a good purchase.

This lamp works well, and had a relatively warm glow for an LED, which I like. However, it is designed to have the wire go along the back of the frame, and run in behind the lamp, so that you don’t see it. Unfortunately, they did not make a channel for the wire to sit in along the metal frame. Hence, you either have to leave the wire sticking out the top awkwardly, and tighten up the screws enough to make the lamp stable (important as the on/off switch has you pushing on the side of the lamp every time), or you have to run the wire along the back unseen, but leave the lamp too loose to use for fear of cutting the wire with the tightened metal edge. As it stands, I had to carve a channel in my gyprock wall large enough to accommodate the wire, so I could tighten the wall screws.Ugh.

Updating my previous review to 1 star — I’d make it -5 if i could.I bought 5 of these lights, and after less then 3 months, 2 of them are already failing. One of those 2 has completely stopped working as of tonight. Amazon support says contact the supplier, but this supplier has no way to contact them. So I’m SOL i guess with this broken LED light. The other one is days away from failing as well.. its flickering after only being on for 15 min. Junk products i guess.. ah well, you’ve been warned.

With standard, traditional picture lights, sometimes you can get intense hot spot at the top of the picture or canvas. This sleek modern fixture with LED lights is bright but also bathes the entire picture in its soft glow thereby making a picture or painting come alive. I have many oil paintings with lights but this sleek, thin picture light is very unobtrusive and beautifully complements any image it illuminates. And I love the very thin 12 foot electrical cord rather than the usual 5 ft. thick cord that picture light manufacturers usually provide. Friends looking at my latest canvas love the artwork but are very impressed at this picture light and its affect. A great buy at a terrific price!!

I picked up one of these to light an oil painting that I keep in a rather dark room. Painting is 21" x 24". I unpacked the light and temporarily attached it to the frame. The first thing I noticed was that the color is a little cooler than I expected. It appears, to my eyes at least, to be cooler than the 3,000K color in the product description. I would have preferred the color to have been warmer, but this is OK.The light is nicely made, and unobtrusive, with the strip of LEDs angled back to illuminate the painting. The mounting tab allows it to either be screwed to the wall behind the painting, or to the frame. Short wood screws are provided. I ultimately screwed it to the back of the frame. The power cord is black, but low-voltage and very small diameter. It would be less visible if the cord were white, but it can be hidden with a strip of molding from the hardware store.Attached are two pics. The fist one was taken with the room lights turned on, at night. The second, with the room lights off. The light adds just enough light to the picture to make it clearly visible at night when outside light coming through the windows is not available. I would have preferred the light to have been a little brighter. But for the price, it's a very good picture light.Overall, it's well made and a good value. I would recommend it to anyone who asked me, and if I need another picture light, I would buy this one again.
