High quality as you would expect from Beadalon. Comfortable to use. Probably not really necessary but I polished the jaws with a rubber cone to help to avoid marking soft material.

I make and sell chainmaille jewelry and inlays, and these have become my #1 right-hand plier (with a pair of flats in my left). The ends are tiny so it's easy to work tiny rings into tight spaces, but I can flip them around and use the back - the curve - as if it was a flat-nose to leverage rings shut. The handles seemed at first as if they were too hard (no padding) to be comfortable, but I find I can maille for two to three hours at a time without pain with these. The inside is smooth but with a grain so it still grips smooth metal. Since I work in a lot of stainless steel, I do see some wear on the faces and edges, but a quick file with 100-220 grit sandpaper gets them good as new. I've had mine for about two months and had to touch them up twice. If nothing changes I expect them to last about a year, which is OUTSTANDING for heavy use of $12 pliers. The brand I previously used tended to last me about six weeks and cost $4, so I'm saving 62% annually on pliers by using these. If you don't use them as heavily or aggressively as I do they will last you a very long time. I'll replace these ones with the same brand & model when they do eventually wear out.
