This is as exactly as pictured and is a nice, accurate way to measure thicknesses. I've been using this for 3D printing calibration and have had no issues so far.

Standard guage, precise enough and works great. The ony annoying thing would be the oil (or grease) that covers the blades to help them slide leaves your fingers greasy and smelly. If you use that for a grease sensible use , for example adjusting your 3D printer on which you want to avoid any greasy substance on the print bed, make sure to clean the blade thorouly.
