About this item

  • One is enough>> Not only does it charge 12V 24V batteries, but it can also be used as a 36V 48V battery charger and even a 60V 72V battery charger. Now you only need one charger to charge different batteries like SLA, AGM, GEL, lithium, LiFePO4, deep cycle battery. It can be used to charge car, motorcycle, vehicle, RV, ATV, SUV, Golf Cart, forklift, Marine, Boat.
  • Two charging modes>> Normal mode and “H” mode(pulse of high-voltage). Normal mode for daily charging, turn the AMPERE knob to set the charging rate, “HIGH” for an emergency quick charge. “H” mode for battery maintenance, “LOW” rate charging is recommended.
  • Intelligent charging program>> Be sure to choose the corresponding voltage to charge your batteries. The charger will automatically adjust the charging voltage and current according to the battery status. Constant current, constant voltage power supply for zero voltage charging for troubleshooting low voltage batteries or equalizing unbalanced battery system for longer battery life.
  • What is "H" mode>>"H" means pulse of high-voltage, A golf cart usually comes with 4 to 8 batteries. One of them can go bad at any time. It makes sense to want to keep or change just the bad one especially if you only need to use the cart on the weekends or save money. That's what "H" does, also known as EQUALIZING CHARGE
  • Connect it& Forget it>> Overload circuit breaker and automatic control chip give you full protection. Just plug it, charging your batteries 24/7 without worry. Please do not connect lithium LiFePO4 batteries without a BMS to the charger for a long time.
  • More power: Compared to model C20, the 60V 72V voltage level is added and the charging current is increased.12V-16A(max), 24V-14A(max), 36V-12A(max), 48V-10A(max), 60V-8A(max), 72V-6A(max)

Wow blatantly wow Illegal cheap Chinese product, illegal to ship and sale and market in Canada for it is an unsafe not CSA ISED compliant.Materially different from what i searched for .. materially different from what i expected for i expected this to be complaint with amazon rules and regulations policies to abide by Canadian laws..I EXPECTED an actual safety compliant CSA ISED FCC-IC CCPSA COMPLIANT product . What i ACTUALLY RECIEVED was an ACTUAL lesser quality than i expected FOR NO WHERE ON THAT PRODUCT DOES IT SAY or bare the mandatory marks of compliance. For This PRODUCT . therefore the product and the product details BEING misleading AND INTERPRETABLE AS A compliant PRODUCT AND THE AMAZON SEARCH RESULTS SUPPORTING THIS for it is available for sale in Canada on amazon.ca AND yet they ARE MATERIALLY DIFFERENT THAN EXPECTED AND THEREFORE violates CCPA etc.. I WANT MY FULL UNCONDITIONAL REFUND AS PER AMAZON POLICY AND CCPA

I have a bus that uses batteries wired in series to create 24 volts. Smart chargers are stupid. If they don't see 24 volts, they flip to 12 volts. Not this bad boy! I set it to 24 volts and that's what she does. Love it. This charger is bigger than I imagined, in both size and weight, and I'm happy about that. It's beefy! I've purchased way to many "smart" chargers, and finally had enough and went with this, and I'm so thankful I did. This charger doesn't mess around, has plenty of "smart" features, and gets the job done. Completely recommend this if you need a batter charger that gets things done!

I bought this HD multi-voltage, multi-type battery charger to charge my 12V DC house backup batteries in both 12V DC parallel and 72V DC serial patterns as well as to charge my 72V DC NEV batteries. And, with the capability to charge Li-Ion batteries also, it is ready for future use. It's great to be able to vary the amperage up to 25 amps to facilitate fast charging and help with desulfating flooded cell PbSO4 batteries. It's prudent to remember that charging multiple flooded cell PbSO4 batteries, in series does not distribute an equal charge per battery. So from time to time, the batteries should each be charged separately at their rated voltage, as well as their series positions should be changed.I've been using this charger for a year now, sometimes daily for weeks at a time and it's still functioning nominally. I recommend this charger for those having multi-voltage, multi-amp, multi-battery type charging needs. It's been a real workhorse for me

Every time I use this unit it emits a foul smell. Obviously something inside emits this smell when it gets hot. This is not an electrical smell. We have all smelt burning electrical devices or electronics....it is not that smell. This is more likely some kind of glue or substance used in manufacture that is getting hot and smelling. It is so bad that I had to take it outside of the garage. To be clear the unit does function and I have used it to charge several lead acid 12V batteries and a very large LiFePo 64V battery. I bought it primarily for the 72V output that I need. Other bad things are the fact that the front display does not accurately show the voltage or current output by the unit. For example when charging a 12V lead acid battery, the voltage shown on the display was several volts lower than that read on my calibrated Fluke meter. It is the same with the current displayed. My meter showed 1.10A output when the units display showed 0A. This might be adjustable inside but I should not have to correct manufacturer inadequacies. The power cord that plugs into the units 120V AC power input connector does not fit securely. When I picked up the unit the power cord just fell out of the connector. The cables that attach to the battery being charged are a joke. The spring clamps are substandard. They are so cheap that they twist and bend out of the plastic covers and are made of very inappropriate thin gauge metal. The other end of these cables attaches to the unit with inadequate thumb screws on undersized lugs. When using this charger at high voltages and currents they get hot! The unit does work so far but I expect the inside components will be of the same quality as the outside.

The AC power cable will not fit tight, even a different cable does not help. It also displays double the amps it is actually charging at, so when it says it is charging at 30 amps it is really 15 (measured with a meter).

Woke up lithium golf cart batteries running this c40 continuous for 4 days. Also charged 72v golf carts for past year. Power cord is too thin and heats up so please replace it for high wattage charging. Fortunately it uses the same back end as a PC computer tower so you can find a thicker computer cord and plug it right in. It's Amazon Prime week so I just bought another of these C40 chargers as a backup.I've found that if a battery is severely discharged and has a low voltage this charger will detect the terminal voltage is too different from the dialed in selected voltage and turn off, displaying "off" on the LED segment panel. When this happens, I just select in a lower voltage for a short time, allow the voltage to rise, and then re-select the desired voltage and proceed. I regretted shorting and frying my 72v variable Schumacher charger which isn't made anymore but this charger is every bit as good and better with the LED display of V and A and the fully variable current knob. The unit has a fuse (breaker, actually) button and an overload button on the back and these have never "popped" meaning the unit seems smart enough not to need them or that I haven't connected 72v on a 12v setting like my other charger. As for fan noise, it is very acceptable- loud enough to know it's blowing nicely but not annoying at all to work close by. Between each 12v graduation is a H marking which appears to be a half step up in voltage. I'm not a writer (obviously) but as an engineer and interface designer who complains about everything, aside from the power cord, I find nothing to be improved about this workhorse. Well maybe an illuminated power switch instead of the small LED power lamp. :)

Looks good and seems to work good too. Nice sturdy enclosure. As mentioned its an old school transformer charger; that can be a good thing and a bad thing depending on what your looking for. The pros are it doesn't have some BS computer telling you it can't charge a battery for some BS reason. The bad, it will charge batteries you probably shouldn't charge so know what your doing when you use this. Also, it's heavy, like most transformer chargers; not ridiculously heavy but it's not light like computer chargers. One thing to note is the Amp knob is variable, not a stepped switch; you can easily crank in more amps than what the unit is rated for (eg 40volts at 17 amps). EDIT: Just verified with a mutli-meter, the amp reading is off by about double, if it says 10 amps on the display it's actually outputting about half that (at 40v anyways). Other than that, I like it. It's getting harder to find these old school no bs transformer chargers that just work. I'll pop it apart one day and have a good look at the wiring inside and take pics as well.

I like that this unit has many ranges from 12 volts to 72 volts also able to use with lithium batteries saving you from having to purchase several units to do what this units does.

Had a 7 years old mower battery that registered 3.4V and was considered damaged by other battery chargers. I mean this battery was in the rain and sun for the last 3 years and had no hopes of reviving it. Connected to this charger to high 12V and 4 hours later was registering 12,8V. 48 hours later this battery was still holding current at 12,6V. Amazing product, very quiet. The only weak point are the clamps that look flimsy but work ok..
