Tha perch is nice however the hardware is made of zinc replacing it turned out to be costly for me. Zinc is pretty toxic to birds. Opt for something stainless steel instead.

So I was looking for something to mount the feeder away from the side of the cage to hopefully reduce the mess and I came across this.-It came well packaged and in very good shape.-It is very well made and all the edges and surfaces are super sanded and smooth.- I was hoping to connect the two poles to make it hang lower as with the one pole there is not really enough clearance for anything larger than a parakeet. While it says “Cockatiel Conure Budgie Small Parrots (Large Size)” I would have to say only the budgies. If you have the tools you could mod the second pole to make it work though.-While the super smooth wood is nice it also makes it super easy for our quaker to take the bowls out and throw them. So I could use a bit of resistance there.Overall with a bit of tweaking it can work out pretty well.

I really like the idea of this, unfortunately I was under the assumption you could hook the two poles together to have some space between the eating platform and the top of the enclosure. Unfortunately that is not the case. You can chose to use one or the other only. That was just not enough space for my cockatiels, so I ended up putting it upside down on the top of their enclosure and attaching a ladder with zip ties for them to climb up to it. Having said that to use as intended I would definitely say it's appropriate for budgie (parakeet) size birds only

I am a new bird parent and boy oh boy I was not prepared for this journey. Thankfully the one thing I'm not struggling with is quality products like this one! Came quickly and set up was easy. My rainbow lorikeet loves these pint size bowls. Especially when they are empty so he can throw them around as a reminder to fill them. Great product.
